WILL BE TRANSFERRED 11/24/14 - REDEMPTION ROAD RESCUE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION Hailey and Lola are bonded and must stay together. Hailey is Lola's mom. If interested in Hailey and Lola please apply for them at www.mitchellanimalrescue.org. Their adoption fee is $150.00. 10-19-13 Hailey is gray and black- she is 4 years old. She is now spayed and all up to date on shots. Lola is all tan. she is 3 years old. She is now spayed and all up to date on shots. They are both house trained and crate trained. They will sleep in their crate quietly but love to sleep in bed with the person they trust most. Hailey and Lola are going to need a VERY calm, patient person who will give them as much time as they need to adjust to their new surroundings. They do NOT trust easily. They are very frightened of new people. In fact in their foster home it took them over a week to trust the foster mom enough for her to catch them. They have been in foster now for a month and they will only let the foster mom pick them up and they will cuddle with her in bed or on the couch but as soon as the foster dad shows up they either hide or cuddle in really close to the foster mom. They don't do well with children just for the fact that they are very nervous and scared and fast sudden movements could cause them to bite. this is why an EXPERIENCED OWNER, A PATIENT OWNER IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST FOR THESE TWO. They are very loving once they find that person they can trust. They love to kiss their foster mom all over her face. They love to sit with her all the time. They love to cuddle up tight against her at night in bed. Lola likes to cuddle under the blankets and Hailey likes to sleep on the pillow up by her foster moms head. When they get really comfortable (when its just them and foster mom in the house) they get playful and jump around and act silly. They bounce from cushion to cushion chasing after their foster mom. They are quiet funny and cute when they are at their most comfortable. I wish they would learn to trust all the people in their foster home because they are loved there by all the humans. They do just bond to one person and just don't seem to care for anyone else after that. They would make the ideal pets for a single women that has all the time in the world for them and the patience to let them go at their own pace to develop trust in the people. When they first go to a new home they will need to stay in a crate and have a contained area so they will not run away from the new people and get lost. They are hard to handle the first week for sure. It will take time to gain their trust. They will put on quite a show for awhile trying to scare you away. So again a patient owner is a must.
